AI That Learns Your Accounting Quirks Just Raised $1.6M

Talky Labs, a Madrid-based startup, raised €1.5M to teach AI the unwritten rules of accounting. Their platform automates financial ops by learning company-specific quirks.

Talky Labs, a Madrid-based startup, just raised €1.5 million (about $1.6 million) in pre-seed funding. Their mission? To teach AI the unwritten rules of accounting. You know, those little quirks every company has but nobody ever writes down. The round closed in September 2026 and saw participation from HelloWorld, Silence VC, Motive Force, and Aera Capital. Angel investors included Sebastián Gunningham (CEO of Remitly), Paul Golbaum (CEO of Lightbase and former CTO of Seedtag), and Javier Morenés, among others. ### Why Talky Stands Out Accounting isn't always black and white. Every company does things a bit differently – and those methods often live in people's heads, not in a manual. Talky's AI learns from your historical records and the expertise of your finance team. It figures out how you've handled transactions in the past and applies that knowledge to new ones. When it hits a snag, it knows who to ask. According to the startup, the platform processes 86% to 93% of accounting documents without any human intervention. That's a huge time-saver. > "Every company has its own way of doing accounting, and it's almost never written down. Talky learns those criteria, applies them to the hard cases and turns them into information for better decisions," says Jorge Beamonte, co-founder and CEO. ### A Growing Trend Talky's funding is part of a bigger wave of European investments in AI-powered accounting. In 2026 alone, we've seen: - Belgium's Dytto raise €1.5 million for its AI assistant for accountants - Denmark's Plinto secure €2.9 million for automated financial controls - Germany's mika raise €6 million for AI-powered accounting and tax services - UK-based Zalos obtain €3.1 million for enterprise finance automation - Barcelona's Dolfin secure €2.1 million for adjacent financial workflows Together, these rounds amount to approximately €66.8 million (about $72 million), including Talky's investment. ### The Brains Behind the Bot Founded in 2025 by Jorge Beamonte (CEO) and Maximilian Letón (COO, 23), Talky has already processed over 1.8 million documents and more than €2 billion (about $2.2 billion) in client expenditure. Not bad for a team of just nine employees. Letón's journey started at a networking event two years ago, where he met Beamonte. He called his mom that night and said, "Mom, today is the most important day of my life. Everything is about to change." Looks like he wasn't wrong. The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its team, further develop the product, and improve its technical infrastructure. With its sights set on large enterprises and financial services providers, Talky is one to watch in the fintech space. So next time you're buried in invoices and spreadsheets, remember: there's an AI learning your company's accounting secrets – and it might just be the answer to your prayers.
