Ahead Health, a Zurich-based preventive healthcare startup, just raised $10 million led by 3VC and RTP Global. The company is expanding into Germany and the Netherlands with its AI-powered health platform that combines blood panels and MRI scans.

Ahead Health, a Zurich-based company focused on preventive healthcare, has secured $10 million in new funding. The investment round was led by venture capital firms 3VC and RTP Global. The startup is also launching in Germany and the Netherlands, marking its first expansion beyond Switzerland. This news comes on the heels of a previous $6 million raise back in January 2026, which was led by RTP Global. The fresh capital signals strong investor confidence in their approach to proactive health management. ### What Does Ahead Health Actually Do? Founded in 2024 by former Google executives, medical doctors, and healthtech veterans, Ahead Health is built on a simple idea: catch health issues before they become serious. The platform combines advanced blood panels, whole-body MRI scans, and an AI-powered system that pulls everything together into one doctor-reviewed checkup. Instead of relying on one-off snapshots, the platform tracks changes over time. It compares each person's results against their own baseline, making it easier to spot meaningful shifts early. This approach could detect conditions like cancer, brain disease, endometriosis, and cardiovascular problems years before traditional healthcare would catch them. ### The CEO's Take on Expansion Nick Lenten, CEO and co-founder of Ahead Health, put it this way: "We built Ahead in Switzerland to prove that prevention can be rigorous, fast and useful, and it works. From today, people in Munich can book a preventive check-up, with the Netherlands opening the waitlist. We're assembling the best team in European prevention, and we're only getting started." ### How the Funding Will Be Used The company plans to use this capital to fuel its expansion across Germany and the Netherlands. Rather than building new facilities from scratch, Ahead Health is partnering with established clinics, radiology centers, and doctors in each market. This lets them bring high-quality preventive care to new cities quickly while keeping it grounded in local medical expertise. Currently, the company offers preventive check-ups that can now be booked in Germany, starting in Munich. In the Netherlands, people can join the waitlist, with the full rollout expected in August. ### The Rollout Strategy: Blood Tests First, Imaging Later Ahead Health is kicking off the expansion with a comprehensive blood test. This test maps early signals around: - Metabolic health - Inflammation markers - Organ function - Cardiovascular risk Every result is reviewed by a licensed doctor and turned into a personal action plan. The company plans to launch imaging services, such as MRI scans, soon after. ### What Makes This Different? The company claims its full-body MRI scan and blood tests take just 30 minutes. The entire process is digital, from booking to receiving results. Since launching in Switzerland, Ahead Health has built a network of over 20 partner centers and a growing range of offerings. Peter Lasinger, Partner at 3VC, explained why they invested: "We back only a handful of teams each year, looking for founders tackling the world's most essential causes. Ahead Health stands out because they combine a deeply mission-driven culture, with absolute rigour and deep technical excellence. They're not just building a platform, they are transforming healthcare from the ground up." ### The Bigger Picture Preventive healthcare is gaining traction globally, and Ahead Health's model could become a blueprint for how to scale it efficiently. By partnering with existing medical infrastructure rather than building new facilities, they keep costs down and speed up deployment. For busy professionals in the US who travel or have international teams, this kind of proactive care might become a valuable option in Europe's key markets.
