Stockholm's Spiich raises $3.4M to let AI handle sales admin tasks, freeing reps to focus on customers. The startup now serves 50+ clients across 15 countries.
### A Swedish Startup Bets That Salespeople Should Actually Sell
Spiich, a Stockholm-based AI sales agent startup, just closed a โฌ3 million Seed round โ about $3.4 million at current exchange rates. That's ten months after raising a โฌ600,000 pre-Seed, bringing total funding to roughly $4.1 million.
The round was led by Ugly Duckling Ventures, a Copenhagen firm that backs Nordic B2B software companies. New investors Alliance VC and Cherry Ventures joined in, while pre-Seed backer Ampli Ventures returned with a follow-on. Angel investors from Lovable, Neo4j, Tandem Health, and OpenAI also participated.
### Why Investors Wrote the Check
Louise Lachmann, General Partner at Ugly Duckling Ventures, didn't mince words about why they led the round.
> "Every sales tool of the last decade promised to give reps their time back, and most of them delivered another system to keep updated. Spiich is the first we've seen that does the non-selling work rather than assisting with it."
She added that what convinced them wasn't the demo โ it was what happened after go-live. Accounts expanded within weeks because teams kept finding more work to hand over. "Johan and Dennis pair engineering judgement well above their stage with a commercial instinct you rarely find in the same founding team," she said.
### What Spiich Actually Does
Founded in Stockholm in June 2025 by Johan Torssell and Dennis Hadzialic, Spiich builds AI agents that handle prospecting, meeting prep, CRM updates, and follow-up work. That's the stuff that keeps reps away from customers โ and according to Salesforce, it eats up 78% of a salesperson's time.
While a wave of AI sales startups tries to automate the salesperson entirely, Spiich is making a contrarian bet. The company says selling is fundamentally human. Its AI agents absorb everything around the sale โ the emails, notes, signals โ so reps can focus on relationship-building that actually closes deals.
### The Numbers Are Backing It Up
Spiich now serves more than 50 customers across 15 countries in Europe, the US, and South America. The client list includes NORNORM, ProfitMetrics, Zaver, Airmee, Rebaba, and Epiminds.
Customers have reportedly:
- Doubled their customer meetings
- Cut prospecting time by 90%
- Tripled their market coverage
The company also reports 100%+ month-on-month ARR growth in the first half of 2026, 160%+ net revenue retention, and more than 50,000 deals closed through its platform.
### The Founder's Take
Torssell, co-founder and CEO, put it simply: "Have you ever bought anything from an AI agent? Almost nobody has. You buy from someone you trust to deliver. Every deal I have ever closed came down to that. We didn't build Spiich to replace salespeople. We built it so they can finally sell."
### What's Next
Spiich will use the new funding to grow its engineering and go-to-market teams as it targets expansion across Europe. Like every AI startup these days, it's also positioning itself as more than a productivity tool. Since it spans every meeting, email, internal note, and external signal tied to a customer relationship, Spiich aims to become a "system of intelligence and action" for sales teams.
Whether that vision pans out remains to be seen. But for now, the company is growing fast, and investors are paying attention. If you're in sales, it might be worth watching what Spiich does next โ especially if you'd rather spend your day talking to customers than updating your CRM.
