Vessla, a Stockholm-based AI startup, raises $3.3M to bring AI agents to property management, solving the problem of scattered information across systems.
Property management might not sound like the sexiest industry, but it's one where AI could make a real difference. And investors are betting big on it. Vessla, a Stockholm-based startup, just emerged from stealth with €2.94 million ($3.3 million) in pre-Seed funding to bring AI agents to property management.
### The Funding Round
The round was led by Seedcamp and was more than 2× oversubscribed. Other investors include Inception Fund, Tiny VC, operators from Lovable and OpenAI, founders Lukas Saari of Tandem Health and Fredrik Hjelm of Voi and Pit, plus a bunch of angels. That's a strong signal that people who've built and scaled companies believe in what Vessla is doing.
Felix Martinez, Partner at Seedcamp, said: "Property operations combine recurring work with complex processes and exceptions that require judgment. Vessla is building for both. The Vessla team has expertise in developing bleeding edge AI applications, and their experience from deploying those in high-stakes enterprise settings play a big role in why they are seeing such interest from leading players in the industry in such a short time."
### The Problem: Scattered Information
If you've ever managed a property, you know the pain. Information is scattered across multiple systems, and connecting them falls on people. A single maintenance request can require checking property records, contacting a supplier, updating a work order, and following up on an invoice—each step in a different system. It's a time-consuming, error-prone process that keeps teams from focusing on higher-value work.
### The Solution: AI Agents That Work Across Systems
Vessla layers its AI agents across existing systems, giving them the context and operating rules to carry out tasks reliably. But here's the key: decisions that require human judgment are still handled by people. The agents don't replace humans; they augment them.
Beyond agents, Vessla is building an operating system that spans entire property portfolios, connecting leasing, building operations, and investment planning. Property teams set priorities and retain decision-making authority, while agents identify opportunities to grow rental income, reduce operating costs, and help coordinate work across the portfolio.
"We believe AI will fundamentally change how property companies operate, from maintenance and costs to leasing and rental income," said Orman Gazvini, CEO of Vessla. "The hard part is making it work at scale across the systems and processes those companies already rely on. That is what we are building. As AI takes on more of the execution, people's judgment, relationships and responsibility become even more important."
### A Team That's Been There
The founding team has deep expertise in building and deploying autonomous AI systems in demanding enterprise environments. Gazvini previously advised major software companies at McKinsey and worked on strategy and M&A at Pophouse. Kasper Janehag, CTO, began his career in the space industry and contributed to NASA's Mars 2020 mission before leading enterprise-scale AI transformations at QuantumBlack, McKinsey's AI division. Chief scientist Arash Dabiri brings hands-on experience building and evaluating agentic AI applications from Andon Labs and QuantumBlack. The broader team also brings experience from Legora, Stanford, and Netlight.
"AI can look impressive in a demo," said Janehag. "The real test is whether it can handle the messy, consequential work of a complex business. That requires deep integrations with vast amounts of context, rigorous evaluation and clear limits on what agents can do. We are building Vessla to meet that standard across entire property portfolios."
### What's Next?
Vessla is already working with some of the largest commercial and residential property owners and operators in the Nordics. While the company didn't specify how it plans to use the funding, it's likely they'll use it to scale their solution and expand their reach. With this fresh capital and a team that's been there and done that, Vessla is one to watch in the proptech space.
