Málaga-based Atomic One has raised $6.5M to automate up to 80% of e-commerce operations using 13 specialized AI agents. The funding round includes backing from Arcano Partners and the European Investment Bank.

Running an e-commerce brand today feels a bit like trying to drink from a fire hose. You're juggling inventory levels, tweaking ad spend, monitoring competitor pricing, and chasing down logistics issues—all before lunch. It's a relentless grind that leaves little room for the strategic thinking that actually grows a business. That's the problem Málaga-based Atomic One is out to solve. The company, which builds an AI operating system for e-commerce brands, recently closed a two-tranche financing round totaling €5.6 million (approximately $6.5 million USD). The fresh capital will fuel the expansion of its AI agent platform designed to automate up to 80% of the operational tasks that bog down Amazon sellers. ### The Funding Round Breakdown The round included a notable follow-on investment from Arcano Partners, a major European asset manager. Through its Impacto Andalucía Innovación y Desarrollo SICC fund, Arcano added another €660,000 (about $770,000), bringing its total commitment to Atomic One to €2.5 million (roughly $2.9 million). A group of private and international investors also participated in the round. This isn't just another venture check, though. The Impacto Andalucía fund is backed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), with support from the Regional Government of Andalusia. That public backing signals a strong vote of confidence in Atomic One's technology and its potential to create jobs and innovation in southern Spain. ### Why AI Agents Are the Next Big Thing in E-commerce Here's the reality: successfully managing an online brand requires analyzing millions of data points and making thousands of decisions daily. Even the world's largest companies struggle to keep up. For small and medium-sized businesses, it's often a growth killer. Atomic One's approach is to deploy a suite of specialized AI agents that work together as an autonomous operational layer. These aren't simple chatbots. They're purpose-built tools that handle specific, complex tasks: - **Pricing agents** that adjust prices in real-time based on market demand and competitor moves - **PPC agents** that optimize advertising spend to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS) - **Inventory agents** that forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstocking - **Logistics agents** that streamline supply chain operations and fulfillment "Running an e-commerce brand requires analyzing millions of data points and making hundreds of decisions every day," said José Luis Bustamante, CEO of Atomic One. "Optimizing those decisions is increasingly beyond the capabilities of any human team. Our platform collects and analyzes that information, makes decisions, and executes them autonomously. The result is greater profitability for our customers." ### 13 AI Agents and Counting Founded in December 2021, Atomic One has already integrated 13 specialized AI agents into its platform. These cover inventory management, pricing, advertising, supply chain operations, catalog management, and competitive intelligence. The company is constantly developing new agents to expand the system's capabilities, with each one designed to work in concert with the others. The goal is simple: let founders focus on strategy, not firefighting. Instead of spending hours manually adjusting bids or updating listings, they can step back and make the high-level decisions that truly move the needle. ### What's Next for Atomic One With this new capital, the company plans to accelerate development of its AI operating system and expand its team in Málaga. Currently, Atomic One employs 13 professionals specializing in artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, product management, and marketing. Cristina Reina, Managing Director at Arcano Partners, emphasized the strategic importance of the investment. "We are reinforcing our commitment to supporting innovative companies while ensuring that public capital is deployed efficiently alongside private investment," she said. For e-commerce founders wrestling with operational chaos, the rise of AI agents like those from Atomic One signals a welcome shift. The days of drowning in data may soon be over, replaced by systems that handle the heavy lifting while humans focus on what they do best: building the brand and plotting the next big move.
