Atomic One, a Málaga-based startup, raised $6.1M to automate e-commerce operations with AI agents. The platform handles pricing, inventory, and ads for Amazon brands.

Running an e-commerce brand is a bit like trying to keep a dozen plates spinning at once. You've got pricing, inventory, ads, logistics—and every single one of those plates is dropping data points by the millions. It's exhausting just thinking about it. But what if you could hand most of that work to a team of AI agents that never sleep? That's exactly what Atomic One, a Málaga-based tech company, is betting on. The startup just closed a two-tranche funding round totaling $6.1 million (€5.6 million) to scale its AI-powered operating system built specifically for Amazon brands. The goal? Automate up to 80% of the operational busywork so founders can finally focus on strategy instead of firefighting. ### Who's backing the vision? Arcano Partners, through its Impacto Andalucía Innovación y Desarrollo SICC fund, added another $720k (€660k) to the pot, bringing its total investment in Atomic One to $2.7 million (€2.5 million). A mix of private and international investors also joined the round, signaling confidence in the team's approach. This isn't just private money, though. The Impacto fund is one of the vehicles selected by the European Investment Bank (EIB) to implement the Andalucía R&D&I and Digital financial instrument. That program is backed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Regional Government of Andalusia. In plain English? Public money is being deployed smartly alongside private capital to fuel innovation in southern Spain. ### Why AI agents for e-commerce? Here's the core problem: running a successful online brand today means analyzing millions of data points and making hundreds of decisions every single day. Even the biggest companies in the world are struggling to keep up. For small and medium-sized businesses, it's often a straight-up barrier to growth. José Luis Bustamante, CEO of Atomic One, puts it simply: "Optimising those decisions is increasingly beyond the capabilities of any human team. Our platform collects and analyses that information, makes decisions, and executes them autonomously. The result is greater profitability for our customers." That's the pitch. Not just dashboards and alerts, but actual execution. The platform currently integrates 13 specialized AI agents that handle things like: - Inventory management and forecasting - Dynamic pricing adjustments - PPC (pay-per-click) advertising optimization - Supply chain operations - Catalogue management - Competitive intelligence These agents work together, sharing information and making decisions that used to require human intervention. It's like having a tiny, tireless operations team that works 24/7 without needing coffee breaks. ### What's next for Atomic One? Founded in December 2021, the company has grown to 13 professionals specializing in AI, software engineering, data science, product management, and marketing. With this fresh capital, Atomic One plans to accelerate development of its AI operating system and expand the team in Málaga. Cristina Reina, Managing Director at Arcano Partners, emphasizes the importance of this kind of support: "We are reinforcing our commitment to supporting innovative companies while ensuring that public capital is deployed efficiently alongside private investment." For e-commerce founders drowning in operational chaos, this kind of technology could be a game-changer. If Atomic One delivers on its promise, the days of manually tweaking PPC bids or worrying about stockouts might soon be behind us.
