Qorelo Raises $3.5M for AI ERP Upgrades Ahead of SAP 2027

Berlin-based startup Qorelo just bagged $3.5 million in seed funding, and it's only been five months since the company launched. That's fast by any standard. The round was co-led by HPI Ventures and Caesar Ventures, with backing from 10x Founders, Antler, Adesso Ventures, and Angel Invest. So, what's the big deal? ### The SAP 2027 Countdown Here's the thing: SAP told all its corporate customers they need to migrate to a new system, S/4HANA, by 2027. That's only a couple years away. And it's not a small task. According to Qorelo, only 8 percent of these migrations finish on time. Projects usually run 30 percent longer than planned, and more than 60 percent go off track on budget, schedule, or quality. Some failed transformations have cost large corporations hundreds of millions of dollars before they were abandoned. Nicholas Torabi, 19-year-old co-founder of Qorelo, said: "Large enterprises are facing an unprecedented race against time to modernise their digital backbones before the 2027 deadline, but the industry simply lacks the human delivery capacity to make it happen." ### What Qorelo Does Qorelo built an AI engine that automates the repetitive parts of ERP upgrades. Instead of relying on armies of consultants doing manual work, the platform handles the functional delivery workstream across ERP programs. The company claims it can cut delivery timelines by 45 percent. The platform acts as a permanent system of record for ERP delivery. It turns one-time transformations into continuous optimization relationships. That means corporate operational data stays ready for AI use. ### Who's It For? Qorelo serves two main groups: - **Consultancies:** They can win more contracts, deliver faster, and scale without hiring more people. - **Enterprises:** They reduce reliance on external consultancies and keep SAP expertise in-house. Within those organizations, typical users include solution architects, process owners, functional leads, program leadership (PMO and transformation leads), and SAP Center of Excellence teams. ### Market Opportunity The global SAP application services market for S/4HANA transformation and optimization was valued at $44 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $70 billion by 2030. That's a lot of money. Qorelo is starting with corporate clients in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). A leading German automotive enterprise is already a live customer, using Qorelo for its transformation and expanding into ongoing operations. Jens Schmidt-Sceery, Partner at HPI Ventures, said: "Modernising the enterprise tech stack is one of the hardest problems on any CIO's desk. These are multi-year programmes where most of the risk and cost sits in slow, manual, expert-dependent work. Qorelo is the AI companion that carries enterprises and their consultants through it." ### The Young Team Qorelo was founded in late 2025 by Nicholas Arman Maxwell Torabi (19), Louis Andrea Schmidlin (24), and Marino Kurtovic (28). Despite their youth, they've already won the trust of demanding enterprise customers. Torabi added: "At Qorelo, we have built an elegant solution that automates the repetitive functional workstreams of these massive transformations. This funding allows us to bring on the absolute best engineering and sales talent in Europe to scale our platform and fundamentally change how enterprise software is deployed and maintained." With the 2027 deadline looming, Qorelo's timing couldn't be better. The company is positioned to help thousands of SAP customers avoid the crunch.
