Paris-based Shiplog raised $930K to build Ada, an AI agent that personalizes every customer interaction in real time. Could this replace the segment as we know it?
What if every customer who visited your website, opened your app, or read your email got an experience built just for them? Not a version of your product tweaked for a broad demographic, but something that adapts in real time to how that specific person is behaving right now.
That's the ambitious bet behind Shiplog, a Paris-based startup that just raised over $930,000 in pre-Seed funding. The company is building what it calls "agentic customer intelligence" โ an AI system designed to replace the outdated segments and static rules that still govern most marketing and customer success operations.
### The Old Way of Understanding Customers Is Breaking
For years, companies have relied on customer data platforms (CDPs) to assemble records, customer success tools to score them, and marketing automation to fire off predefined workflows. The problem? None of these tools actually makes a decision. They display dashboards and trigger rules written for an "average" customer that doesn't exist anymore.
Shiplog's founders argue that the old model is collapsing. AI has compressed software development cycles, and pricing has shifted from per-seat subscriptions to usage-based models. Customers no longer behave like predictable cohorts. They act like individuals โ but most companies still treat them through segments drawn up weeks or months ago.
### Meet Ada, Shiplog's AI Agent
Founded in 2026 by Khushi Mehta (CEO) and Mehdi Gribaa (CTO), Shiplog has built an AI agent named Ada. Instead of dropping customers into fixed buckets, Ada continuously evaluates each person, updates their profile as behavior changes, and decides the next best action across the entire customer lifecycle.
This means personalization extends far beyond email subject lines. Ada powers marketing campaigns, product interfaces, onboarding flows, recommendations, support interactions, and even the judgment calls that customer success teams currently make by hand.
> "Every customer should experience a different version of the same product, marketing campaign and customer journey," said Gribaa. "That is the future we are building towards."
Shiplog calls the result a live "segment of one." Instead of asking a human to interpret a health score, Ada makes the decision itself โ and keeps making it as behavior shifts.
### How Shiplog Fits Into Your Existing Stack
One of the smartest moves here is that Shiplog doesn't ask you to rip out your current tools. It sits above your existing stack, plugging into platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Snowflake, Shopify, and Stripe. Ada connects to these systems, builds a live customer profile, and then decides what happens next.
This approach acknowledges a hard truth: your data is already scattered across a dozen tools. The value isn't in collecting more data โ it's in acting on what you already have.
### Where Shiplog Is Starting
The company is initially targeting four sectors where personalized engagement drives serious business outcomes:
- **FinTech**, where behavior changes fast and churn is expensive
- **Cybersecurity**, where customer volume quickly outpaces manual management
- **Software**, where usage-based pricing demands real-time adaptation
- **Consumer**, where retention depends on feeling understood
These are industries where customer volume is too high to manage manually, and the cost of losing a customer is steep.
### The Bigger Picture: A New Operating Model
Shiplog isn't trying to build another point tool for a single team. The founders believe AI can collapse customer intelligence, customer success, and personalization into one reasoning layer โ replacing the segment as the core operating model for go-to-market teams.
"Engineering industrialised and pricing individualised, but marketing got left in the middle," said Mehta. "The data to personalise every customer already exists. Ada is the infrastructure that acts on it."
The round was backed by Kima Ventures, Project Europe, Purple, No Label Ventures, 100IN, and Station F Fund. Shiplog is based at Station F in Paris and is currently rolling out its first implementations.
For US-based teams watching European startup innovation, this is one to keep an eye on. The idea that AI can replace segments with real-time, individual reasoning isn't just a Parisian fantasy โ it might be the next major shift in how go-to-market teams operate everywhere.
