Mimir, an Oslo-based AI startup, raised $600K pre-Seed to automate e-commerce operations. The company manages 250K+ customer conversations monthly for 60 brands across 5 countries.

Mimir, an Oslo-based startup building AI that automates e-commerce operations, has closed a $600,000 pre-Seed round. The round was led by Sondo Capital, an Oslo-based venture capital firm, and supported by a group of experienced angel investors from the Nordic tech and e-commerce scenes, including folks from VILLOID, Kry, Enode, Whitson, and others. ### What Mimir Does Customer support is only the starting point. Mimir's vision is to automate the operational work that slows e-commerce teams down, while giving consumers instant, personalized help around the clock. This funding allows them to accelerate product development, double the team, and save more time and money for e-commerce brands. Founded in 2024 by Jorgen Vartdal Halse, Jens Kristoffersen, and Oyvind Monsen, Mimir started as an AI-native customer support platform specifically designed for B2C e-commerce companies. The platform currently manages about 250,000 customer conversations each month for around 60 brands across five countries, helping companies like VILLOID, HiFi Klubben, and Holzweiler. ### Why It's Different Instead of adding AI on top of legacy systems, Mimir claims to be a fully AI-native operations platform specifically for B2C e-commerce. It understands orders, deliveries, returns, and products. It can handle tasks end-to-end, tailored to the brand's existing systems and workflows. That means e-commerce stores can provide instant, high-quality customer interactions around the clock, while saving time and money on operational costs. ### The Investor Perspective Henrik Hatlebrekke, General Partner and co-founder at Sondo Capital, shared his thoughts: "We truly believe that customer service and e-commerce operations as we know it will be dramatically changed with AI. The Mimir team embodies exactly what we're looking for: technically strong founders who combine a great product with real market pull in a massive market." ### Key Highlights - Mimir grew roughly 7x over the past year - Achieved profitability without external funding - Had no plans to raise capital initially - Raised funding due to strong inbound interest from multiple funds and customers Mimir's story shows that sometimes the best funding rounds come when you least expect them. When you build something that works, investors come knocking. The company is now set to expand its team and product offerings, helping more e-commerce brands automate their operations efficiently. ### What's Next With this new capital, Mimir plans to double its team and accelerate product development. The goal is to save even more time and money for e-commerce brands, making customer support and operations smoother and more efficient. It's a smart play in a market where every second counts.
