Atomic One, a Málaga-based startup, raised $6.5M to automate e-commerce operations with AI agents that handle pricing, PPC, and inventory for Amazon brands.

Running an online store used to be about having the best product. Now, it's a constant battle of pricing, ads, and inventory that changes by the minute. Most founders feel like they're drowning in a sea of dashboards and spreadsheets, trying to make sense of millions of data points before their competitors do. That's the problem Atomic One, a Málaga-based technology company, is trying to solve with a team of AI agents that handle the heavy lifting automatically. The company just closed a two-tranche financing round totaling $6.5 million, according to a press release. This isn't just another funding announcement—it's a signal that the next wave of e-commerce competition will be fought by software, not just sweat and late-night spreadsheet sessions. The round included an additional $768,000 investment from Arcano Partners through its Impacto Andalucía Innovación y Desarrollo SICC fund, bringing the fund's total commitment to $2.9 million. A group of private and international investors also participated, though their names weren't disclosed. ### The AI Agent Approach Founded in December 2021, Atomic One has built what it calls an autonomous operational layer for Amazon brands. Instead of giving founders another analytics tool, the platform uses specialized AI agents to make and execute decisions. It's designed to handle pricing, PPC advertising, inventory forecasting, and logistics without constant human oversight. The company claims this can automate up to 80% of operational tasks, freeing founders to focus on strategy and product development rather than firefighting daily operational issues. José Luis Bustamante, CEO of Atomic One, explained the core challenge in a statement: "Running an e-commerce brand requires analysing millions of data points and making hundreds of decisions every day. Optimising those decisions is increasingly beyond the capabilities of any human team. Our platform collects and analyses that information, makes decisions, and executes them autonomously. The result is greater profitability for our customers." ### Why This Matters for Sellers If you've ever tried to manage a growing e-commerce brand, you know the pain points. Consider what a typical day looks like for a founder: - Checking if your pricing is still competitive against new listings - Adjusting ad bids to avoid wasting budget on low-converting keywords - Forecasting inventory to avoid stockouts during a demand spike - Monitoring supplier lead times and logistics delays - Reviewing competitor activity to spot new threats or opportunities That's a lot of moving parts, and it gets worse as you scale. Atomic One's pitch is that its AI agents can handle all of this in the background, continuously learning and adapting. The platform currently integrates 13 specialized agents covering inventory management, pricing, advertising, supply chain operations, catalogue management, and competitive intelligence. The company is also developing new agents to expand the system's capabilities over time. The complexity problem isn't just for small sellers. Even global retail giants are struggling to manage the sheer volume of data generated by modern online sales. For small and medium-sized businesses, it's often a major barrier to growth. If you're spending all your time on operational tasks, you don't have time to improve your product, expand your market, or build your brand. ### The Investment and What's Next Cristina Reina, Managing Director at Arcano Partners, emphasized the strategic nature of the investment. "At Arcano Partners, we have built a specialised platform for managing public investment funds, supported by a team with extensive experience in mobilising European and regional resources through market-based financial instruments," she said. "Through the Impacto Andalucía Innovación y Desarrollo SICC vehicle, we are reinforcing our commitment to supporting innovative companies while ensuring that public capital is deployed efficiently alongside private investment." The backing also comes from the European Investment Bank, which selected the Impacto fund to implement the Andalucía R&D&I and Digital financial instrument, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Regional Government of Andalusia. That public component adds a layer of validation to the company's growth prospects. So what's next for Atomic One? The new capital will go toward accelerating the next phase of growth, mainly by further developing its AI operating system and expanding its team in Málaga. The company currently employs 13 professionals specializing in artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, product management, and marketing. With more resources, it plans to build out more agents and refine the ones it already has. The bigger picture here is that e-commerce is moving toward full automation. The tools that exist today are just the beginning. If Atomic One can deliver on its promise of 80% operational automation, it could fundamentally change how online brands are run—and give founders their time back.
