Málaga-based Atomic One secures $6.5M to automate up to 80% of e-commerce operations with 13 specialized AI agents for pricing, inventory, PPC, and logistics.
Running an e-commerce brand is a constant firefight. Between pricing, inventory, ads, and logistics, there are a thousand decisions to make every single day. Now, one Spanish startup says it has built an AI operating system that can handle up to 80% of that operational grind for you.
Atomic One, a Málaga-based company founded in December 2021, has just closed a two-tranche financing round totaling $6.5 million. The company builds specialized AI agents that act as an autonomous layer for Amazon brands, taking over the repetitive, data-heavy work so founders can actually focus on strategy instead of putting out fires.
### Who's backing the vision?
Arcano Partners led the charge through its Impacto AndalucÃa Innovación y Desarrollo SICC fund, adding another $770,000 in this closing. That brings the fund's total investment in Atomic One to roughly $2.9 million. A group of private and international investors also joined the round. This fund is one of the vehicles selected by the European Investment Bank to support innovation in the AndalucÃa region, backed by European Regional Development Fund money and the Regional Government of Andalusia.
### The problem: too much data, too many decisions
José Luis Bustamante, CEO of Atomic One, puts it plainly: "Running an e-commerce brand requires analysing millions of data points and making hundreds of decisions every day. Optimising those decisions is increasingly beyond the capabilities of any human team."
That's the core pitch here. The complexity of modern e-commerce has outpaced human ability to manage it well. Even the world's largest companies are struggling with the sheer volume of information. For small and medium-sized businesses, it's often the single biggest barrier to growth.
Atomic One's answer is a suite of 13 specialized AI agents that work together to collect, analyze, and act on data. These agents handle:
- Inventory management and forecasting
- Dynamic pricing optimization
- PPC and advertising campaign management
- Supply chain operations
- Catalogue management
- Competitive intelligence
They don't just suggest what to do; they execute the decisions autonomously. The platform is designed to reduce the operational burden by up to 80%, which is a bold claim but one that clearly resonates with investors.
### What's next for Atomic One?
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate development of the AI operating system and expand the team in Málaga. The company currently employs 13 professionals across artificial intelligence, software engineering, data science, product management, and marketing.
Cristina Reina, Managing Director at Arcano Partners, emphasized the importance of efficiently deploying public capital alongside private investment to support innovative companies. It's a statement that highlights the growing trend of institutional funds backing AI-driven operational tools.
The e-commerce landscape isn't getting simpler. As consumer expectations rise and market dynamics shift faster than ever, the idea of handing over the tedious operational work to AI agents is becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity. Atomic One is betting that its autonomous operating system will be the tool that lets smaller brands compete with the giants. With this new funding, it's now got the resources to try.
