Warsaw-based Coding Giants just secured up to €6 million in venture debt to fuel its expansion into the US and Mexico. If you're watching the European startup scene, this is one to note. But what does it mean for STEM education in America? Let's break it down. ### Who Is Coding Giants? Founded in 2018 by Radosław Kulesza, Dawid Leśniakiewicz, Piotr Pełka, and Sebastian Langa, Coding Giants (known as Giganci Programowania in Poland) teaches coding, AI, and math to kids aged 6 to 19. They've already reached over 130,000 students across 15 countries, including the US, Mexico, Spain, and Germany. Their secret sauce? Combining expert instructors with AI-powered tools that adapt to each student's pace. And they teach through platforms kids already love—Minecraft and Roblox—making learning feel like play. ### The Funding Details The financing comes from Orbit Capital, a growth-stage investor with over €200 million in assets. This isn't Coding Giants' first rodeo—back in December 2024, they raised €8.5 million led by True Global Ventures. "Coding Giants has reached a stage where venture debt can be particularly effective," said Wiktor Namysł, General Partner at Orbit Capital. "The company has a proven business model, generates meaningful revenue, and has already demonstrated its ability to operate internationally." That's a fancy way of saying: they're not a risky bet. They've got traction, and now they're getting fuel to scale. ### Why the US and Mexico? The company already has an office in Mexico and sees huge opportunity across the Americas. With approximately $15 million in ARR, they're ready to accelerate. "The financing from Orbit Capital will allow us to move faster on the opportunities we see, particularly in Spain and across the Americas," said Kulesza, CEO and co-founder. "We want to accelerate our growth in the region, both organically and through acquisitions." So expect to see more Coding Giants in the US soon—maybe even in your local school or after-school program. ### Beyond the Classroom Coding Giants isn't just about paid courses. They run Gigathon, Poland's largest programming competition, and clickON, a free nationwide coding event endorsed by Poland's Ministry of Education for kids aged 6 to 18. They also have close to a thousand instructors in their educator community, blending tech experience with teaching chops. ### The Bigger Picture Demand for practical STEM education is rising globally, but math performance is declining in many markets. Coding Giants sees itself as part of the solution. "Coding, AI, and mathematics develop logical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills," said Leśniewicz, co-founder. "These are the capabilities young people need not only to use technology but to understand it and actively participate in creating it." That's a mission worth getting behind—and with this new funding, they're one step closer to bringing it to more kids worldwide. So if you're a parent, educator, or just someone who cares about the future of tech education, keep an eye on Coding Giants. They might be coming to a screen near you.
