Manchester-based BidScript raises $800K in pre-Seed funding to automate public and private contract bidding. Early customers see up to 50% higher win rates using its AI platform.

Manchester-based BidScript, an AI-native platform that helps businesses find, qualify, manage, write, and submit bids for public and private contracts, just raised $800,000 (€701k). This brings its total pre-Seed funding to over $1 million (€876k). The company's technology is already helping early customers achieve up to 50% higher win rates. ### The Funding Round The latest round includes follow-on investment from NPIF II – PXN Equity Finance, managed by PXN Ventures as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II). New investor SFC Capital also joined. This mix of continued and fresh backing shows strong confidence in BidScript's approach. Henry Brogan, co-founder and CEO, says: "We're thrilled to have PXN's continued support and welcome SFC Capital. General-purpose AI just doesn't cut it for high-stakes tendering. It's a niche that demands deep expertise. BidScript embodies that, and this funding lets us expand into new markets." ### Why This Matters Hundreds of billions of dollars in public and private contracts are awarded each year. Yet most businesses still handle tenders manually, drowning in spreadsheets and shared drives. BidScript automates the entire process, from finding opportunities to writing and submitting bids. It's a game-changer for companies in construction, engineering, IT, and education. ### The Bigger Picture BidScript's funding comes amid a surge in European procurement and RFP automation investment. EU-Startups reports 2026 rounds totaling about $54 million across similar companies, including: - Pivot (Paris): $37.5 million Series B for agentic AI procurement - Soource (Bolzano): $3.3 million Seed for procurement intelligence - Definic (KoΕ‘ice): $2.7 million Seed for vendor intelligence - Realm (Helsinki): $4.1 million Seed for AI-assisted RFP and sales materials - Mandel AI (Sofia): $3.9 million Seed for supplier coordination and automated procurement - Ark Climate (Munich): $2.3 million pre-Seed for municipal software In the UK, Fivium (London) received an undisclosed minority investment for public-sector software in 2026, and Stotles raised $12.5 million Series A in 2025 for tender tracking and public-sector sales. This shows a clear trend: the market is hungry for smarter bidding tools. ### What Investors See Harry Manley, Investment Associate at PXN Ventures, adds: "Our investment in BidScript was one of our first from our PraeSeed program. Watching the business grow has been inspiring. We believe in Henry and his co-founder Tyler and the problem they're solving. Businesses get swamped by resource-heavy bidding processes, and BidScript offers a real solution." Ed Stevenson, Principal at SFC Capital, says: "Henry and Tyler are tackling a problem most overlook: the antiquated system of managing public and private contracts. They've built real traction early, and their sector focus and commercial discipline are exactly what we look for at pre-Seed." ### What's Next BidScript was founded in 2023 by childhood friends Henry Brogan and Tyler McCarthy, who launched it while still at university. The company plans to use this funding to grow its team, develop its product further, and expand into new markets domestically and internationally. With early customers already seeing up to 50% better win rates, the future looks bright for this AI-powered tender platform.
